Architetta e urbanista, laureata con lode al Politecnico di Milano, con un MA in Landscape Urbanism presso l’Architectural Association di Londra e un PhD in Ingegneria Ambientale. Nel 2010 fonda a Roma il pluri-premiato studio Ilaria Di Carlo_Architects. E’ docente di storia e teoria nel B-Pro MArch presso la Bartlett di Londra ed è direttrice dell’AAVisiting School Milan. Il suo interesse di ricerca si concentra sull’importanza dell’estetica, rivisitata attraverso le lenti del pensiero sistemico, e della transdisciplinarietà, nella progettazione sostenibile di città e territorio.

Architect and urbanist, graduated with Honors at Milan Polytechnic with a MA in Landscape Urbanism at the Architectural Association in London and a PhD in Environmental Engineering. In 2010 she founded in Rome her award-winning studio Ilaria Di Carlo_Architects. Ilaria is also a History & Theory Lecturer in the B-Pro MArch at the Bartlett in London and she is Director of the AAVisiting School Milan. Her research interest focuses on the importance of aesthetics, revisited through the lenses of systemic thinking, and transdisciplinarity, in the sustainable design of city and territory.
